Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Vineyard, Baptist, Catholic and Christian Church - Four Corners has a solid and diverse family tree. In 2002 the Vineyard Community Church in Springdale, Ohio planted a new church in Loveland called Northstar Vineyard Church. Ben and Jill Hodges served on the team that helped get Northstar off the ground. At Northstar they joined a Life Group and really got to know several other couples. In the Spring of 2003, Northstar endorsed Ben to lead its first church plant. The other couples in the Life Group agreed to work together to make a new church happen. By the summer of 2003, a small group of dedicated and excited people commit to launch a church in the north suburbs of Cincy. We wanted to make a place where people would be encouraged to follow Jesus.
Four Corners opens its doors on September 19, 2004 at the Rave Theater in West Chester after over a year of praying and planning. We are blown away by what God is doing. Biblical teaching, creativity, doing life together, and spiritual development are core values that guide our work. Prayer, worship, and serving our community are part of our DNA. We move from the Rave to Lakota West High School, add office and meeting space, secure land on Union Centre Blvd, hire staff, help people cross the line of faith, serve graciously, build relationships and have a blast doing it.
Now, we explore long term facilities needs. We look at our call to impact the region – not just the northern Cincinnati suburbs. We offer classes that help people cultivate depth in their relationships with God and others. Life Groups are the place where authentic community is forged. God shows up when we gather to celebrate His goodness. People contribute their time, energy and money to make it happen. We invite friends to a church that is not quite what they expect it to be; we have a blast doing it.
