4C Inclement Weather Policy

ree

Years ago, our team put in place a policy for our church family in times of inclement weather. This policy reflects our commitment to gather together with discipline as the New Testament instructs but also be sensitive to the realities of the environment in which we serve. We care about you and know that some weather conditions make it ill-advisable for you or other members of your house to drive.

Here are the basic points:

  • Use your best judgment.

    • You know your level of comfort and competence to drive given the weather. In wind, rain, ice, or snow if you are uncomfortable, please stay home and catch our Sunday service online at: https://www.youtube.com/4CornersChurch

  • 4C Church services are canceled for official weather emergencies only.

    • We cancel Sunday services only when the Butler County Sheriff declares a Level 2 or Level 3 Weather Emergency (check out http://www.bceo.org/snowemergency.html for helpful information). There will be no mass communication other than when those Emergency Levels are reached. Facebook, email and text to volunteers are the primary means of communicating should the Sheriff call a Level 2 or 3 emergency.

      • Your situation may be unique... use your best judgment.

  • Even without a Weather Emergency, some roads are tricky, others are not. Our location just off the interstate makes travel easier in bad weather for many of our church family, especially those who live close to primary roads. For some, even a dusting of snow is problematic. Again, use your best judgement to make the responsible decision for you and your family.

4C Students and other Special Events:

  • 4C Student events and other special events follow different policies in consideration of the unique realities specific to those ministries. Text, Facebook, and email will be used to notify you when those events are canceled due to weather concerns. Reach out directly to the ministry lead if you have questions.

Please know that no matter the weather, our incredible team of volunteers have an unbroken track record of creating a warm and welcoming environment for you to gather to worship, grow, and serve. The coffee will be hot, the parking lot swept, the step-ways salted, and the smiles genuine.

Our Candlelight Christmas Eve Eve services are at 6PM and 8PM.
